Roofers Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare.
Roofers for repairs across Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare. Slipped slates and cracked tiles, leaks, lead flashing, valleys, ridges, chimneys, gutters, fascia and soffit. One crew that looks at the roof, quotes it in writing and repairs it, with photos from the roof when it is done.

If you are looking for roofers in Dublin because something on the roof has failed, that is the work we do. Repairs, not re-roofs.
We repair slate and tile roofs on houses across the three counties: the covering, the junctions where it leaks, the chimney stack, and the gutters and boards at the edge.
Ring or send a photo from the ground. A photo is often enough for a price; if not, we call out the same week on most repair calls, photograph the problem from the ladder and send a written quote within 48 hours.

What we repair.
Everything on a pitched roof short of replacing it. The pages below go into each job in detail; the short version is here.
- 01Roof repairs: slipped, cracked and missing slates and tiles refixed or replaced and matched to the roof
- 02Roof leaks traced from the loft and the roof, and the cause fixed rather than sealed over
- 03Lead flashing renewed at chimneys, walls and dormers in Code 4 or Code 5 milled lead
- 04Valleys cleared, patched or relined; ridge and hip tiles rebedded or fixed on a dry ridge system
- 05Chimney stacks repointed, flaunched, capped and, where the top is loose, rebuilt
- 06Gutters cleared by hand, repaired and replaced; downpipes flushed and refixed
- 07Fascia and soffit repaired in timber or replaced in uPVC, gutters rehung to a proper fall
- 08Moss removed by hand and the roof treated; no pressure washing
- 09Storm damage made good, with emergency cover where the full repair has to wait for weather
Why repairs, and only repairs.
Most calls to a roofer are about one thing that has gone wrong: a slate on the path, a stain on a ceiling, a gutter pouring over in rain, a ridge tile that moved in the last storm. Every one of those is a repair, and a repair done properly on an otherwise sound roof is the right answer for the house and for your money. We have set the business up around that work. It means the crew that quotes a job is the crew that does it, the materials are matched to what is on the roof, and the price is for the fault that was found, not for a roof you did not need.
It also means we will tell you when a repair is not the honest answer. A slate roof that is losing slates across every slope each winter is nail-sick and wants re-slating; a tiled roof with the felt perished everywhere wants stripping. When we find that, you get the photos and a straight opinion, and a pointer to a re-roofing contractor.
How a roofing job goes with us.
It starts with a phone call or a photo on WhatsApp. A picture from the ground tells us a lot, and it is often enough to give you a price. If it is not, we call out, go up the ladder and photograph the problem and the roof around it before anything is quoted. There is no charge for that look.
The written quote comes within 48 hours and says what was found, what will be done and what is included, down to the scaffold if one is needed. Most repairs are a half day to a day on site. Gutters are cleared on the way down from every roof job. When it is finished you get before and after photos from the same spot, so you can see the work without going up.

Where we work.
Dublin city and county, from the older slate terraces of the inner suburbs to the tiled estates of Tallaght, Blanchardstown, Swords and Lucan, and the coast from Howth to Dun Laoghaire. County Wicklow from Bray and Greystones down to Arklow and inland to Blessington. County Kildare from Leixlip, Celbridge and Maynooth out through Naas and Newbridge to Athy. The Kildare and Wicklow pages below say more about the roofs in each county.
Safety and tidiness.
Single-storey work and gutters are done from a roof ladder. Two-storey slate work, chimneys and steep pitches get a scaffold tower or a full scaffold, and that is written into the quote. A harness is used wherever the ladder cannot cover the work properly. Old slates, lead offcuts, rotten timber and the contents of the gutters leave with us at the end of the day, and terraced houses with no side access are worked from the front with the floors covered where we have to come through.
Included as standard.
The following is included on every roofing quote. Anything outside it is itemised separately on the written estimate.
- 01Same-week site visit on most repair calls
- 02Photographs of the issue from the ladder before any quote
- 03Full safety setup on every job: roof ladder, harness or scaffold tower as required
- 04Code 4 or Code 5 milled lead on all flashing repairs
- 05Slate and ridge replacements colour-matched to the existing roof
- 06Off-cuts and old materials removed, gutters cleared on the way down
From first call to handover.
The same crew runs the job from the site visit through to sign-off.

Phone or photo.
Send a picture from the ground if you can. Half the time we can quote off that without a site visit.

Repair.
Most slate or flashing repairs are completed in a half-day to a full day on site.
- Last03.

Before-and-after photos sent the same day on completion.
Repairs, not re-roofs.
We do not replace roofs, and we do not put a new roof on an extension or a new build. Flat felt roofs: ask, and we will say on the phone whether yours is one we can take on. Commercial and agricultural roofs are not something we cover. Houses, extensions, garages and outbuildings across Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare are.
Roofing questions.
Anything else, ring 085 781 4603.
Do you do new roofs?
No. We're a roofing-repair specialist rather than a re-roof contractor. New full roofs need a structural conversation that's better had with a specialist.
How fast can you respond to a leak?
Ring and say water is coming in. We fit leaks in as early as we can and make the roof watertight first if the full repair has to wait.
Do you work from a ladder or scaffold?
Whichever the job calls for. Single-storey gutter and slate work is usually a ladder job. Anything more involved gets a scaffold tower or a full scaffold.
Are you roofers in Dublin or do you cover other counties?
Both. Dublin is the busiest, and we cover County Wicklow and County Kildare the same way, with a same-week call-out on most repair calls and no charge for the look.
What is the difference between a roofer and a roofing contractor?
Nothing much in practice. A roofing contractor usually means a firm that takes on whole roofs; a roofer is anyone who works on them. We are a repair crew. If you need a roof replaced we will say so and point you to a contractor who does that.
