Roofers in Blanchardstown.
Roofers for Blanchardstown and the rest of Dublin 15: Castleknock, Clonsilla, Corduff, Mulhuddart, Hartstown, Huntstown, Ongar and Hansfield. We repair the roof you have, put the price in writing before we start and send photos when the job is done.

Dublin 15 has two generations of roofs side by side: estates from the late sixties to the eighties, and the newer ones built since the two-thousands around Ongar and Hansfield.
We repair both: slipped and cracked tiles and slates, ridges and verges, flashing at walls, chimneys and roof windows, valleys, gutters and fascia. Repairs only, not re-roofs.
Ring or send a photo from the ground. We come out the same week on most repair calls, there is no call-out fee for the look, and the written quote follows within 48 hours.

From a village on the Navan road to Dublin 15.
In the 1830s Blanchardstown was a village of under sixty houses on the road to Navan. The first housing estates came in the late 1960s, and through the seventies the population grew several times over as Corduff, Mulhuddart, Hartstown, Huntstown, Clonsilla and the roads off them filled in. Those roofs are now in their forties and fifties, and that is the age when the repairs below start.
The second wave is newer. Land at Hansfield, in the Ongar area of Clonsilla, was designated a Strategic Development Zone in 2001 and its planning scheme was approved in 2006, and Ongar and Hansfield have filled with houses, townhouses and apartments since. Castleknock and the old village core are older again, with a mix of period and mid-century houses.
What goes on the older estates.
The seventies and eighties houses across Dublin 15 are mainly semis and terraces under concrete tiles, many with a chimney on every pair. After forty-odd years we tend to find the same faults. Flaunching on top of the chimney has cracked and lets rain down inside the stack. The lead apron where the stack meets the tiles has lifted. Cement fillets, used instead of lead on some houses where a roof meets a wall, have shrunk and come away. And on houses where the gutters have overflowed for years, the bottom of the fascia board and the timber behind it have softened.
None of that needs a new roof. It needs the failed part taken out and done again properly, which is how we price it.

What goes on the newer houses.
Houses from the two-thousands are not too young for repairs. Many were roofed in fibre-cement slate or thin concrete tiles with plastic dry verges and ridges, preformed valley trays and roof windows. The faults are different. Dry verge caps crack or blow off, a clip lets go and a slate slides, a valley tray was cut short at the eaves, or the flashing kit round a roof window was fitted out of sequence and lets water in on a heavy night.
Some of the newer homes in Ongar and Hansfield are three-storey townhouses, so access matters more than on a two-storey semi. Where a ladder will not reach safely, the quote includes a scaffold tower and says so, so there are no surprises on the day.

Repairs, not re-roofs.
We repair roofs in Blanchardstown and Dublin 15; we do not re-roof. If the tiles or slates are failing across the whole roof, or the underlay has perished on every slope, a repair is money wasted. We will say that plainly, show you the photos and refer you to a re-roofing contractor.

Do you cover all of Dublin 15?
Yes: Blanchardstown, Castleknock, Clonsilla, Corduff, Mulhuddart, Hartstown, Huntstown, Ongar, Hansfield and Tyrrelstown, as well as the rest of Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare.
My house in Ongar is fairly new. Why is the roof leaking already?
Usually one detail: a dry verge cap that cracked, a slate clip that let go, a valley tray cut short, or a roof window flashing fitted wrongly. Each is a repair. We find the one that is letting the water in and fix it.
Water is coming in. How quickly can you get to me?
Tell us water is coming in when you ring and we come as early as we can. Send a photo of the ceiling and the roof above it so we bring the right materials.
Can you work on a three-storey townhouse?
Yes. We quote the access we need, usually a scaffold tower, and put it in the written quote so you know what will be set up.
