Garden maintenance Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare.

Garden maintenance across Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare on a written schedule: lawns cut and edged, hedges trimmed, beds weeded, shrubs pruned and the green waste taken away. The same crew on the same day each visit, so the garden is kept rather than rescued.

Before and after photos when the job is done

A garden that is kept on a schedule takes a fraction of the work of one that is let go and then caught up twice a year.

We maintain gardens for houses and small commercial sites across the three counties: mowing, edging and strimming every visit, hedge trimming, weeding, pruning and leaf clearance in season, and a short note with photos after each visit.

We walk the garden with you, agree what is in the scope, and quote a fixed price per visit or per month in writing within 48 hours. One-off tidies and overgrown gardens are quoted separately.

    What a maintenance visit covers.

The scope is agreed on the walk-around and written down, so there is no guessing about whether the hedge is included. On a typical visit the lawn is mown, the edges are cut, the strimmer goes round the fence line and the beds, and the paths and patio are blown or swept. Through the growing season the beds are weeded and the shrubs pruned as they need it; hedges are trimmed a couple of times a year at the right time for the hedge; leaves are cleared in autumn and the garden is put to bed for winter. Green waste goes away with us on every visit, never left on the verge or in your bin.

After each visit you get a short note and a couple of photos, so if you are at work or the garden is at a property you do not live at, you know exactly what was done.

    Fortnightly, monthly or seasonal.

Most family gardens in Dublin suit a fortnightly visit from spring to autumn and a monthly one over winter. A smaller garden, or one with more paving than lawn, can be monthly. A larger garden in Wicklow or Kildare with long hedges and beds might want weekly in the growing season. We suggest a schedule on the walk-around, but it is your call, and it can change once we see how the garden behaves through a season.

The price is fixed per visit or per month for the agreed scope. Extras, such as a hedge that needs a proper reduction or a bed that wants replanting, are quoted on their own before they are done.

    Overgrown gardens and one-off tidies.

A garden that has been left for a year or two is a different job from maintenance and is quoted as one. It usually means strimming everything back, cutting hedges hard, clearing the beds, lifting what is dead and taking away a lot of waste, then a first cut of whatever lawn is underneath. Once that is done the garden can go onto a schedule, and the schedule is cheaper than the tidy.

We also do end-of-tenancy tidies, gardens on houses being sold, and seasonal clearances for people who look after their own garden most of the year and want a hand with the heavy jobs.

    Weeds, chemicals and the alternatives.

Where a targeted herbicide is the sensible way to deal with weeds in gravel or paving joints, we use one, carefully and only where it is needed. Where you would rather have no chemicals in the garden, we work without them: hand weeding, hoeing, mulching the beds so the weeds do not get a start, and a stiff brush on the paving. Say which on the walk-around and it goes in the scope.

Garden maintenance across Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare.

We look after gardens for homeowners across the Dublin suburbs, for landlords and managing agents with houses and apartment grounds to keep presentable, and for small commercial premises with a bit of planting and a lawn out front. In Wicklow and Kildare the gardens are larger and the schedule is often built around long hedges and boundaries as much as the lawn. Wherever it is, the same crew comes on the same day each cycle, and you have one number to ring.

    Where we draw the line.

We maintain gardens; we do not do tree surgery beyond hedges and small trees, and we do not treat lawns with the full feed-and-weed programmes that specialist lawn firms offer. If a lawn is beyond mowing back into shape we will say so and quote a new lawn as a landscaping job. Very large grounds that need a ride-on and a team are not what we are set up for.

Do I need a regular schedule or is a one-off enough?

Either works. A one-off tidy is the right answer for a major catch-up. Regular maintenance is the way to keep the garden in shape after that.

    What about overgrown gardens?

We quote larger first-time tidies separately. Strimming, clearing and waste removal first, then a regular schedule from there if you want to keep on top of it.

    Do you spray for weeds?

We use targeted herbicide application where it makes sense. We can also work pesticide-free if that suits you better, with hand-weeding and mulch on beds.

Do I need to be home for the visit?

No, as long as we can get into the garden. Most customers leave a side gate unlocked on the day or give us a code. The note and photos after the visit tell you what was done.

Can I pause the schedule over winter?

Yes. Many gardens go to a monthly visit or stop for the coldest months. We agree that at the start and it is easy to change.
