Useful information
for your quote.
None of the following is required, but having it to hand makes the quote faster and more accurate.
- 01
Property type and size
House, apartment or commercial. A rough area in square metres is useful, though we measure on site.
- 02
Photos of the area
A few phone photos help us scope the job and can replace a site visit for smaller pieces of work.
- 03
Preferred timeline
Whether the job is urgent, planned for the coming weeks, or for next year. We'll be honest about our lead time.
- 04
Approximate budget
Optional. A budget helps us scope the work to suit what you want to spend.
- 05
Specific requirements
Any materials, finishes or features you've already decided on, and anything you don't want.
- 06
Access notes
Gates, lanes, parking, neighbours or anything that affects how we get materials and crew on site.
How the quote process works.
The most common questions we get about getting a price together.
How long does a written quote take?
We aim to issue a written quote within 48 hours of the site visit. Smaller jobs that don't require a visit are usually quoted from photos within a working day.
Is the site visit free?
Yes. There's no charge for a site visit and no obligation to proceed. We walk the job, take photos, and leave you to consider the quote.
Do I need to be home for the visit?
Not if we can access the work area without you. We'll confirm when we arrive and leave, and send photographs of what we measured.
Can you quote for several trades at once?
Yes. A multi-trade project goes onto a single itemised quote, with each trade priced separately so you can see what each line covers.
